Official Contest Rules

PARTICIPATION IN THE I SABI MILLIONS LIVE GAME SHOW IS SUBJECT TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES. THE CONTEST IS SPONSORED BY BMO PROJECTS LTD ("SPONSOR"). THE CONTEST IS NOT SPONSORED, ENDORSED, ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH APPLE INC., GOOGLE LLC, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE SUBSIDIARIES OR AFFILIATES. THE CONTEST IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL AND LOCAL LAWS APPLY.

1. Eligibility

Subject to these Official Rules, the Contest is open to individual persons who are at least 18 years old as of the date of entry ("Applicant"). To be eligible to receive a cash prize determined in the Sponsor's sole discretion ("Prize"), the Applicant must:

  • Register an account with the Sponsor ("Account Registration");
  • Provide information as requested by the Sponsor to sufficiently identify the Applicant; and
  • Ensure that all information provided for Account Registration is true, complete, and accurate.

Upon fulfilment of the above conditions, the Applicant will be deemed an eligible participant ("Entrant"). To facilitate delivery of a Prize, I Sabi Millions may attempt to contact the winner using the phone number registered on the Account. If I Sabi Millions is unable to contact the winner after three (3) attempts using the registered phone number, the winner may forfeit his/her Prize.

Certain Contests are only open to residents of specific states and/or countries. Any person who enters a Contest for which they are not eligible is not entitled to a Prize in that Contest.

Employees, agents, and contractors (collectively, "Employees") of Sponsor and its respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other entity involved in the development or administration of this Contest — and all persons residing in the same household as such Employees, including immediate family members — are not eligible to win the Contest while employed by Sponsor and for six (6) months following the Employee's last working day with or for Sponsor.

I Sabi Millions reserves the right to verify an Entrant's eligibility before, during, or after the Contest.

Notice to International Entrants

It is your responsibility to comply with the contest and prize laws of your country or jurisdiction. You acknowledge that certain jurisdictions maintain laws regarding prize competitions that may prevent the Sponsor from awarding you a Prize. If this applies to your jurisdiction, you acknowledge that you may not be able to receive any Prize. By entering this Contest, you accept this risk.

2. Entry Period

Episodes of the Contest ("Game Sessions") will be announced through the I Sabi Millions Application at times determined by the Sponsor. You may join a Game Session while it is live. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify any Game Session in its sole discretion.

3. How to Enter

To participate in the Contest, complete each of the following steps:

  1. Download or open the I Sabi Millions Application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device. Log into your existing account, or sign up for a new account using a verified phone number.
  2. Register for a live Game Session by selecting "Join Game" or "Play Now" on the App when a Game Session is open. You will receive a notification when the live trivia game show begins. Participation in certain Game Sessions may require topping up your in-app wallet and paying an entry fee ("Pay to Play"); other Game Sessions may be open to free-to-play participants as designated by Sponsor.
  3. Participate in the live game show. Each Game Session consists of 12 questions. You have seven (7) seconds to answer each question. If you answer correctly, you advance. If you answer incorrectly, you are eliminated unless you use an in-app item (see Section 6). Comot may be activated during a question, before you answer, to remove one incorrect option. Extra Life may be activated on the elimination screen immediately after an incorrect answer.
  4. Play at least one I Sabi Millions Game Session to completion to be eligible for a Prize.

By downloading I Sabi Millions, you agree that information provided by you or collected by Sponsor in connection with the Contest may be used in accordance with the I Sabi Millions Privacy Policy (https://www.isabimillions.com/privacy-policy) and Terms of Use (https://www.isabimillions.com/terms-of-use), and may be shared with Sponsor's affiliated business entities. All information submitted to the App becomes the property of Sponsor.

4. Prizes

The winner or winners of each Game Session will receive a Prize as announced by the Sponsor at the beginning of each Game Session.

Multiple Winners

Where more than one player remains after the final question and all such players have answered correctly, the Prize shall be split instantly and equally among all remaining winners.

Prize Rollover

If all remaining players are eliminated simultaneously — whether by all failing to answer any question correctly — the Prize for that Game Session shall roll over and be added to the Prize pool for a future Game Session designated by Sponsor. The rollover amount will be announced live at the conclusion of the affected Game Session and confirmed via the App.

To receive payment, you must cash out accrued Prizes through Paystack, our third-party payment processor (https://paystack.com). Prize fulfilment is subject to Paystack's terms and privacy policy. In instances involving larger Prizes, at I Sabi Millions's sole discretion, you may be contacted directly, subject to eligibility confirmation.

Prize Fund

The Prize for each Game Session is determined and ring-fenced by the Company before the Game Session opens. The prize pool is funded from a dedicated prize reserve account and is not co-mingled with the Company's operating funds. The Company guarantees the payment of all confirmed Prizes to eligible winners, subject only to the eligibility verification requirements set out in these Official Rules and the Terms of Use. Prize fund arrangements are subject to audit by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) or any other competent authority on request.

You must comply with the Rules of Conduct in the I Sabi Millions Terms of Use. Non-compliant entries will be disqualified.

Account Rules

  • One Account Per Person. Each user may maintain only one Account. Users may not "co-own" Accounts. Operating more than one Account may result in suspension of all accounts and forfeiture of all Prizes.
  • One Paystack Account. Each I Sabi Millions Account may only be registered with one Paystack account. Circumventing this restriction may result in account termination and Prize forfeiture.
  • Winner Verification. Prizes will only be issued to the individual identified in the winning Account. Out-of-date or incorrect information may result in disqualification. Failure to provide valid contact information may result in account termination and Prize forfeiture.

Sponsor expressly reserves the right to disqualify entries generated by automated means, scripts, bots, or any method violating these Rules or the Terms of Use. All Sponsor decisions are final and binding. Prizes are not assignable, not transferable, and no substitutions are permitted. The winner is responsible for all applicable federal and state taxes on the value of the Prize.

5. Prize Selection

Standard Game

The winner(s) will be the player(s) remaining after the final question having correctly answered all questions. If multiple players remain, the Prize is split instantly and equally among all such players.

Prize Rollover

If all remaining players are eliminated, the Prize rolls over to a future Game Session. The rollover will be announced live and confirmed via the App.

Show Abandonment on Technical Grounds

If a Game Session is terminated by the Company before its natural conclusion due to a technical failure, broadcast interruption, or other operational cause beyond the Company's reasonable control — and not because all remaining players were eliminated — the following applies:

  • Players who have paid an entry fee for that Game Session will receive a full refund of their entry fee to their Wallet within 24 hours of the abandonment being confirmed.
  • Any unused Extra Life or Comot items held in a player's Wallet at the time of abandonment are retained and remain available for use in future Game Sessions.
  • The Prize pool for the abandoned Game Session will roll over to a future Game Session designated by Sponsor, which will be announced through the App. The rollover amount and the designated future session will be confirmed via the App within 48 hours of the abandonment.
  • The Company reserves the right to declare a Game Session void rather than apply a rollover where the technical failure materially affected the integrity of the game up to the point of abandonment. In such cases, entry fees are refunded and no rollover applies.

Abandonment is distinct from rollover on player elimination (where all players are eliminated in the normal course of play). In all cases the Company will communicate the outcome and next steps through the App as promptly as practicable.

Notification and Cash-Out

The winner will be notified through the App or by SMS. Sponsor may determine alternate notification methods. Winners must cash out the Prize within thirty (30) days of notification. Failure to do so constitutes forfeiture of the Prize, and Sponsor may choose not to award it. If an Entrant is found ineligible, Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, withhold the Prize.

6. In-App Items

Two in-app items may be purchased with credit held in your I Sabi Millions Wallet. Both are optional. Neither is required to enter or to win, and neither improves the accuracy of any answer you give.

6.1 Extra Life

An Extra Life returns you to a Game Session after you have answered a question incorrectly.

  1. An Extra Life is offered on the elimination screen shown immediately after an incorrect answer.
  2. You may use a maximum of two (2) Extra Lives per Game Session.
  3. An Extra Life may not be used on the final question of a Game Session.
  4. An Extra Life returns you to play at the next question. It does not reverse an elimination from an earlier question.
  5. An Extra Life always works when used within these limits. There is no chance element and no circumstance in which a validly used Extra Life fails to return you to play.

6.2 Comot

Comot is Nigerian Pidgin for “to remove.” The item removes one incorrect option from the question in front of you.

  1. Comot is used during a question, before you submit an answer and before the answer window closes. It cannot be used after you have answered, and it cannot return you to play once you are eliminated.
  2. When used, one incorrect option is removed. Four options become three. The correct answer is never removed.
  3. Comot always works. It confers the same benefit every time it is used. There is no chance element, no variable outcome, and no circumstance in which using Comot causes or fails to prevent an elimination.
  4. You may use a maximum of one (1) Comot per Game Session.
  5. Comot does not tell you the correct answer. Three options remain and the answer must still be chosen within the answer window.

6.3 Gift Box

The Gift Box is a free-entry prize draw that the producer may open at any point during a live broadcast.

  1. When a Gift Box opens, all authenticated users connected to the broadcast receive a notification and a tap prompt. This includes players who have been eliminated and viewers who did not enter the main Game Session. Entry is free. No wallet credit is required or deducted.
  2. To enter, tap the Gift Box before the entry window closes. The window duration is announced when the Gift Box opens. Tapping after the window has closed is not accepted.
  3. One entry per account is enforced by the system. Tapping more than once does not increase your probability of being drawn. Duplicate taps are refused at the database level.
  4. When the entry window closes, winners are selected by a server-side random draw using a cryptographically secure random process. The draw is conducted entirely on the server; it cannot be influenced, proposed, or predicted by a client. Speed of tapping confers no advantage — every participant is equally likely to be selected, regardless of when within the window they tapped.
  5. Your probability of winning is: number of prizes ÷ total number of participants who tapped. Both figures vary per draw. The number of prizes is announced when the Gift Box opens. The total number of participants is determined by how many eligible accounts tap before the window closes and is published after each draw. A worked illustration: if 10 prizes are drawn from a pool of 500 tappers, each participant's probability of winning is 10 ÷ 500 = 2%. If the pool is 2,000, the probability is 10 ÷ 2,000 = 0.5%. Actual figures for each completed draw are available on request from support@isabimillions.com.
  6. The prize for each Gift Box draw is announced when the Gift Box opens. Prizes may include Extra Lives, telecommunications airtime, or other items as determined by the producer. Prizes are awarded to winners automatically. A Gift Box prize does not affect the winner's standing in the main Game Session.
  7. The Gift Box is a separate promotion from the main Game Session. It is not a purchasable item and is not part of the Wallet system. It carries its own chance-based mechanics, distinct from the purchased items described in Sections 6.1 and 6.2, which have no chance element.

6.4 Nature of the Items

Extra Life and Comot (Sections 6.1 and 6.2) are purchased advantages of fixed and invariant value. Neither is a wager, neither has a random outcome, and neither pays a prize. Purchasing either does not increase the amount you may win in the main Game Session: prize money is divided equally among all players who complete the Game Session, regardless of whether items were used.

The Gift Box (Section 6.3) is a free-entry prize draw, not a purchasable item. It involves a server-side random draw and a variable probability of winning, both of which are disclosed in Section 6.3(e). Entry to the Gift Box does not require consideration and is open to all connected authenticated users.

The duplication, illicit creation, sale, trade, or external transfer of in-app items by any means outside the official in-app wallet system is strictly prohibited. Abuse or manipulation of in-app items may result in disqualification, account suspension, and forfeiture of all Prizes.

7. General Conditions and Releases

By entering the Contest or accepting a Prize, you agree to conform to all applicable laws and regulations. Where applicable, the winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Liability and Publicity Release within ten (10) business days of Prize notification. The winner may also be required to complete applicable tax documentation and furnish proof of identity, address, and date of birth.

Unless prohibited by applicable law, acceptance of a Prize constitutes your permission to use your name, photograph, likeness, voice, city of residence, and testimonials in all media, in perpetuity, in any manner Sponsor deems appropriate for publicity purposes without additional compensation.

Grounds for Disqualification

An Entrant or winner may be disqualified for failure to comply with these Official Rules or the Terms of Use. Sponsor may disqualify you, refuse to award Prizes, require return of Prizes, or suspend your account where you engage in conduct Sponsor reasonably believes to be improper, unfair, fraudulent, or detrimental to other users.

Improper conduct includes, without limitation:

  • Falsifying personal information, including payment information required to claim a Prize;
  • Violating eligible payment method terms, including Paystack terms of service;
  • Using unauthorised scripts, bots, or other automated means;
  • Tampering with the administration of the Contest or associated systems;
  • Obtaining other Entrants' information for spamming or harassment; or
  • Any other form of fraudulent conduct or abuse.

Limitation of Liability

Participation is at the Entrant's own risk. Sponsor shall not be liable for: (1) failed or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information; (2) entries that are lost, late, or incomplete; (3) electronic miscommunications, technical failures, or network outages; (4) technical malfunctions of systems; or (5) any warranty with respect to any Prize.

THE CONTEST IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND SPONSOR MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND REGARDING THE CONTEST.

NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING ELSE HEREIN, SPONSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR (A) ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES; (B) AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF THE PRIZE FOR THE APPLICABLE CONTEST; (C) DATA LOSS OR COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; OR (D) ANY MATTER BEYOND SPONSOR'S REASONABLE CONTROL.

Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with this Contest may be prosecuted to the full extent of applicable law. Sponsor reserves the right to modify these Official Rules at any time and to cancel or suspend the Contest should viruses, bugs, regulatory actions, force majeure events, or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security, or proper operation of the Contest.

This Contest shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law provisions. All disputes, complaints, and claims arising from or relating to this Contest are subject to the Dispute Resolution provisions in Section 13 of the I Sabi Millions Terms of Use (https://www.isabimillions.com/terms-of-use), which establish a mandatory internal complaints step, binding arbitration administered by the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA), and an express preservation of your right to complain to the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA), the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), or any other applicable regulatory or statutory body at any time. Your right to make a regulatory complaint is not limited or affected by any arbitration process and takes priority over it. Nothing in these Official Rules or the Terms of Use limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable Nigerian law. Sponsor may seek urgent injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
